Solatech's CEO, Ray Soltis, has woven his computer programming expertise, window fashions industry experience and entrepreneurial spirit into an industry-renown company recognized for its versatile software. Throughout his career, he's been at the forefront of software development, tackling industry challenges with software that increases visibility, communications and business processes.

Graduating from Furman University with a BA in Computer Science and Business Administration, Soltis began his professional career as a programmer analyst with the General Electric Aerospace Division. In 1992, he moved into the window fashion industry with the fabrication software ShopOrder Plus+, and he quickly earned a reputation as a technology leader for the industry. Sharing the fruit of his research and development, Ray Soltis was the featured speaker for the first annual Window Covering Technology trade show.

As an engaged entrepreneur and business owner since 1990, Soltis invests his enormous energies in developing software tools that creatively address points of convergence between retailers, fabricators and manufacturers in the window fashions industry. Listening to these audiences, structuring strategic alliances and building the finest software features have added frequent flyer miles to Ray's accounts and some significant mileage to his car.

In the Piedmont Triad area of North Carolina, Ray Soltis and Solatech have also earned recognition as the 2003 Grand Prize winner in the Triad Entrepreneurial Initiative (TEI) business plan competition. He continues to support the Piedmont Triad Entrepreneurial Network (PTEN) and the entrepreneurial endeavors PTEN nurtures, as a member of the organization's board of directors.

When he's not on the road increasing Solatech's reach and cultivating new strategic alliances, Ray enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.
